Make no mistake, the game that tips off tonight in Tempe, Ariz., is a huge moment in Tulane athletics. Eliot Kamenitz/The Times-Picayune Tulane guard Chassity Brown says the team has the utmost confidence in Coach Lisa Stockton and her game plan entering their first NCAA Tournament game in seven years. It's not just vindication for Green Wave Coach Lisa Stockton, who has pushed the program back into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003.

This is our third (Conference USA) championship since Katrina, but getting to this level, getting to the NCAA for me personally, I feel Katrina is behind us. This is the step we had to make to make sure there is no looking back and that we could put that part of our lives behind us.   -Lisa Stockton

It's all hit Aisha Jefferson with a whoosh. Each game from here on out could be the Michigan State senior's last. "I remember being a freshman and not understanding what seniors meant by how they felt and having a sense of urgency during the tournament," Jefferson said Friday.

For the three Florida State women's basketball seniors, who have helped transform the women's basketball program from a good one to an elite one, their final NCAA Tournament has arrived. For the head coach, who still feels "sick" about the last time the tournament was at the Civic Center because her team wasn't in the field of 64, comes the chance to play a postseason game in front of her fans. On her home court.
